Welcome to Mimi Loves Cooking! My name is Jennifer. I am a wife to the best “food taster ever” and a Mom to four children – 2 girls and 2 boys. Three of our kids are grown and moved out and we have a teenage daughter still at home. I was blessed to be promoted to “Mimi” in 2022 when my adorable Granddaughter Emerson was born. I have always imagined myself spoiling my Grandchildren with my favorite recipes. Cooking for the ones I love is my Love Language. I can’t wait to have my Grandchildren cook alongside me in the kitchen.
I was born and raised in Pennsylvania. I then moved to the Central Coast of California at age 23 and lived there for 23 years. Our family moved to South Carolina in 2018 and I love living there. I have taken cooking styles and recipe ideas from all three states, adding a lot of variety to my recipe collection.
After almost 40 years of cooking for friends and family, I thought it was about time I started a Blog to share my favorite recipes and cooking tips. My typical meals would be categorized as “comfort food” however, I love to cook and BBQ almost anything. I am always looking out for new recipes and the good ones get moved into my menu rotation. I have won County Fair cooking contests over the years although I haven’t entered one since moving to South Carolina.
