This is a very easy cake for any chocolate lover. I prefer the Ghirardelli brand chocolate but you can use any chocolate you prefer. I find the Ghirardelli brand gives it a richer more gourmet taste. This is a great recipe for any pot luck or dessert when you have company.

Ingredients

  • Cake
  • 1 box chocolate cake mix

  • 1 4 oz box chocolate pudding mix

  • 1 cup sour cream

  • 1 cup vegetable oil

  • 4 eggs

  • 1/2 cup warm water

  • 1 cup Ghirardelli Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips

  • Glaze
  • 2/3 cup Ghirardelli Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips

  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

Directions

  • Cake
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  • Combine all ingredients for cake and mix with electric mixer on medium speed for about 2 minutes until smooth. Scrape the bowl to make sure all dry ingredients are combined and mix another minute.
  • Pour batter into a greased bundt cake pan.
  • Bake for 40-50 minutes until cake tester comes out clean.
  • Allow cake to cool.
  • Glaze
  • In a microwave safe bowl, combine chocolate chips and heavy cream for about 30 seconds. Stir then return to the microwave for another 15 seconds. Whisk ingredients until smooth. Return to microwave for 15 more seconds until it is completely smooth and chocolate is melted.
  • Pour evenly over top of cake and allow to cook before service.
